I have been working in mental health since 2006 and practicing psychotherapy since receiving my Masters in Counseling in 2009. My experience ranges from working within a community mental health setting to working in my own private practice. My therapeutic approach combines strength based perspectives, mindfulness, solution focused therapy, and cognitive behavioral strategies. I pursued education in yoga after experiencing the benefits first hand and I believe yoga is an effective total wellness approach that can enhance the effects of talk therapy. Yoga offers an avenue for healing both physically and emotionally, and through regular yoga practice greater emotional balance can be achieved. Yoga is a tool each and everyone can use, You do not need to be flexible, young, in any particular shape, or a member of any particular religion to experience the healing power of yoga. You just have to be willing to show up and work at your own pace.
There are many paths to self healing, and I am committed to helping others find the one that is right for their own individual needs.
